Jammu and Kashmir: Parcel delivery, e-commerce service improve with inauguration of India Post parcel hub in Srinagar

The scrapping of Article 370 has benefited Jammu and Kashmir completely with parcel delivery and e-commerce services getting improved with India Post parcel hub in Srinagar becoming fully operational.

In the absence of parcel hub, people were facing several obstacles due to lack of e-commerce services in the city. Now, it has become a gateway for easy parcel services with transparency, reports ANI.

India post parcel hub was inaugurated in January.With it several facilities like sorting, new weighing machines and online booking of the parcels came to action.

Locals have appreciated the initiatives especially at this time when the country is combating COVID-19. Aquib Sultan, a resident of Srinagar, appreciated the initiative and told ANI: “It has happened now and people are finding it very convenient. The e-commerce facility will help enhance the business potential in Kashmir valley.”

Another resident Farhan Ahmad told the Indian news agency: “If the administration keeps on taking such decisions for the civilians, it will be good for everyone. It will be easy to send and collect the parcels. The facility has made things easier for us in the pandemic.”
